DuoSync ("we", "our", or "us") operates the DuoSync mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our service.

• Content: Your answers to daily questions, including both text and voice recordings
• Device Information: Push notification token to send you notifications

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• Provide the Service: Enable daily questions, couple pairing, and answer sharing between partners

• Notifications: Send you push notifications about new questions and your partner's answers

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate DuoSync:

• Supabase: Database and file storage for your account data and voice recordings
• RevenueCat: Subscription management and payment processing
• Apple: In-app purchase processing through the App Store
• Expo: Push notification delivery

These services may have access to your information only to perform tasks on our behalf and are obligated to protect it.

Data Sharing and Sale

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use advertising tracking or share your information with advertisers.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is hosted on Supabase's cloud infrastructure with industry-standard security measures. We implement appropriate technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss.

Data Retention

We retain your personal information while your account is active. When you delete your account through the app's Settings, all your personal data, including answers and voice recordings, will be permanently deleted from our servers.

Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Access: View all the data we have about you
• Delete: Delete your account and all associated data through the Settings page in the app
• Export: Request a copy of your data by emailing contact@duosync.app

GDPR Rights (European Union Users)

If you are located in the European Union, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

• Right to Access: Obtain confirmation of whether we process your data and access to that data
• Right to Rectification: Correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data

• Right to Restrict Processing: Limit how we use your data
• Right to Withdraw Consent: Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent

DuoSync is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 18, please contact us immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and notify you through the app. Your continued use of DuoSync after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
